My Style: Daisies & Lace

Today's Look:  features this darling babydoll dress with a daisy print.  With soft and flowing material, pretty three-quarter length sleeves, and a deep scoop neckline, this adorable dress is perfect for wearing to a brunch, a party, or a day out with your guy.  I matched up the dress with my favorite pair of lace-up sandals and cut-out metal lace-trimmed, circular-shaped sunglasses.   The dress can be purchased at a new store called Immediate Fashion Company that opened in Tucson, Arizona, near the University of Arizona, but anyone can shop the great deals at www.immediatefashioncompany.com.  This trendy boutique, located at 2000 East Broadway Boulevard in Tucson, has its flagship store based in San Diego, California, and features chic clothing for women and men.   As you know, I truly try to be objective with my product reviews and this dress gets a perfect score of 10 out of 10 from me!  Xoxo, Shelly

Fashion Tip:  Finding unique, protective, and fashionable sunglasses is a summer must!  I recommend little boutiques and online stores like Zero UV and Style Vault to find the perfect pair.

I wore the outfit to a summer-kickoff get-together with some close friends.  Here are some photos of decor and fun for inspiration.  :)

My Style: Sequins & Stripes

Today's Look:  shows how bold stripes can make a statement for spring.  This appealing scoop neck, hi-low dress is an eye catcher from the Ashley Lane Company.  By adding an open-knit sweater, you can stay comfortably warm on a spring day.  A loose knit sweater is perfect for layering over a tank, cami, or dress.  This sweater has dropped shoulder seams, hi-low hem, and sequins.  Bonus: it's from one of my favorite boutiques in Flagstaff, Arizona, called The Basement Marketplace.  To add some edge, I styled the look with a black, wide-brimmed hat and black ankle boots.  As always, I hope you’re having a blast being creative and courageous with your styling.  I love this quote by Cushnie et Ochs:  “Life’s too short to wear boring clothing.”  Amen!  Xoxo, Shelly

Fashion Tip:  As mentioned above, a loose knit sweater is great for layering over dresses, tanks, and cami's and easily transforms an outfit!

I wore the outfit to a coffee spot where I met up with some friends.  Lately, I have enjoyed including photos of the places similar to where I wore the looks, to create a backdrop and mood.  Enjoy :)

My Style: Rockin' in the U.S.A.

Today's Look:  is about being patriotic in memory of veterans fallen in active duty.  To show your pride, wearing red, white, and blue is appropriate on patriotic holidays.  In addition to honoring our armed forces, for many families Memorial Day symbolizes the beginning of summer with BBQs and beach vacations.  I was invited to a BBQ and started styling this outfit with an amazing top from Charlotte Russe.  This black muscle tee crop top with an American flag decorated bow worked perfectly with burgundy, high-waisted jeans from PacSun.  I accessorized with a beautiful gold chain necklace and bracelet.  Rings and black ankle booties completed the ensemble.  I hope you all had a wonderful three-day weekend!  Xoxo, Shelly

Fashion Tip:  To tuck in or not to tuck in, that is the question.  For a leg lengthening effect, wear high-waisted jeans and keep the jeans neatly outside of your heeled boots.  Your torso will be pleasingly shortened while your legs grab all the attention.

In honor of Memorial Day, my family got together for our annual brunch to pay respects and show our American pride.  Lately, I have been addicted to Pinterest, so here are a few photos of patriotic decor for inspiration for next year!

My Style: Garden Party

Today's Look:  is for a garden bridal shower that I will be attending.  A springtime bridal shower screams for floral prints, pastel colors, and feminine lace.  When styling this outfit, the first thing that caught my eye was the top.  I adore this Charlotte Russe floral-printed, sheer-chiffon top with a scoop neckline and cuffed dolman sleeves.  Pairing this gorgeous blouse with lace shorts, I felt these pumps rocked it perfectly.  Jewelry included peach and gold dangling earrings and an array of rings.  I'd like to know what you wore to your last bridal shower--leave a comment if you have time and share your outfit deets!

Fashion Tip:  For garden parties, often times the venue and activities are set up on grass.  With this in mind, be sure to wear appropriate, comfortable shoes.  I know the party I'm attending will have a nice deck and concrete walkways, so short heels are doable and fitting for the occasion.

With so much inspiration on the web, I went through and picked out my favorite photos of garden bridal showers that stood out to me and inspired the look!  Enjoy :)
