My Style & Travel: Punalu’u, Kailua-Kona, and Waikoloa

I'm still dreaming of my time on the Big Island of Hawaii. Thank you all again for your wonderful suggestions of what to do and see. Because of your great recommendations, we enjoyed an all-day guided tour into the southern part of the island with a trip to the Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. If you are interested in a volcano tour, I 100% recommend taking a day-into-night tour by Kapohokine Adventures called “Evening Volcano Explorer.” The tour was perfect and included a picnic lunch at Makau Meadows Coffee Farm, a sweet treat at Punalu'u Bake Shop, a leisurely stop at Punalu’u Black Sands Beach, a delicious BBQ dinner and wine tasting at Volcano Winery, a hike through the rainforest and the Nahuku Volcano Tubes, and then the grand finale of seeing the glowing lava of the Kilauea Volcano.

One more adventure I recommend is the Atlantis Submarine Kona dive and then some time shopping in Kailua-Kona, followed by relaxing on the Kahalu’u Beach or Waikoloa Beach. During the submarine dive, we saw two shipwrecks, a variety of fish, and even sharks.

To enjoy the submarine dive and shopping, I wore the prettiest romper by Cooper & Ella (Check out their beautiful website here and newly launched Amazon store here). This romper has a unique design of dotted tie-dye stripes in navy blue, is fully lined, and is incredibly comfortable. Add a simple straw fedora and you can enjoy any resort day or tropical adventure in style. These photos were taken at Waikoloa Beach just in front of the Waikoloa Beach Marriott ResortAloha, Shelly
